Amano Jitsugyo Co.,Ltd. established.
Tatsuo Amano became president and
starts manufacturing caramel.

1948
Head Office established at Dosancho, Fukuyama,
Hiroshima Prefecture.
1956

Tokyo Office established.
A spray dryer installed at the Head Office Factory.
Amano becomes the first Japanese company to
succeed in making powdered caramel.

1967
Satosho No.1 Factory completed at Satosho,
Asakuchigun, Okayama Prefecture.
Amano installs freeze-dryer and starts
developing freeze-dried foods.
1973
Nozzle-type spray dryer installed.
1974
Pouch packing machine for liquid and
powdered soups installed.
Fluid-bed granulator installed
1975
Amano becomes the first Japanese company to install a filter-mat dryer
made by DEC company in U.S.A.
1978
Caramel manufacturing operation moved from Head Office Factory to Satosho No.1
Factory, where new equipment has been installed.
1979
Multistory automated warehouse and powdered seasoning plant installed.

Disc-type spray dryer installed.
Retort sterilizer installed.
Freeze-dried high-quality miso soup completed.
Tatsuo Amano becomes chairman.
Hajime Amano becomes president.

Amano starts providing customers with Freeze-dried
high-quality miso soup.
1984
Amano starts a domestic mail order with Freeze-dried
high-quality miso soup.
Drum dryer installed.Osaka Office established.
1985
Amano cooperates and supports North Pole arrival project by providing
Freeze-dried foods as portable foods.
Vacuum frier installed.
Caramel technical agreement concluded with Sethness company in U.S.A.

Satosho No.2 Factory completed.

One of the world's largest freeze-dryer installed.

Spray dryer with rotary atomizer model installed.

R&D center completed.
2007
Taking advantage of the 60th anniversary foundation, Amano changes logo mark.
2008
Amano forms a capital and operational alliance with Asahi Breweries, Ltd.
2009
Hajime Amano becomes chairman.
Nobukazu Yoshioka becomes representative director and president.
2011
Amano received ISO22000 certification for the line producing vacuum freeze-dried foods (egg soup, Miso soup, rice porridge, other soups) at Satosho No.2 Factory.
Chairman Hajime Amano became Advisor to the Board.
